Hey you guys, if you want to play piano like a true virtuoso, you should take advice from me, being a music major in college. There are several different ways to get your skills up fast, with practice of course.
My personal favorite way to build up my agility is to practice Bach's Two-Part Inventions. These are a great way to learn to play piano fast because the majority of them are very fast paced works and they are great sight reading practice also. I suggest getting a book of Bach's Two and Three Part inventions because you may also want to look through the three part inventions even though they are almost impossible to play. I personally own the Alfred collection and I think that it would be a good way to go because it is not very pricey and it contains fingerings.
Take a look at a couple different versions that are out there. Just remebert that anything that comes from Bach will be a challenge, but it will be lots of fun. Take a look at some of my suggestions below.
Another great book that has helped me learn to play piano fast and build my skills up through the years is The Virtuoso Pianist by Hanon. The Virtuoso Pianist has many exercises that will build up your agility and increase your playing speed. They are not that fun to play, but everyone needs practice and it is more of a book for beginners.
Anyways, these are just a few suggestions I had, they have all helped me learn to play piano fast and they will help you too. Just remember to practice and practice and practice. One thing you should never forget is to have fun! Click on the pictures to learn more about the books.
